庚子初夏,万物繁茂。2020年5月,正值枫叶教育集团25周年校庆之际,江苏枫叶教育大区的筹建工作也拉开帷幕。5月9日,镇江、淮安和盐城校区的管理干部们齐聚盐城,召开以“树立大区一体思维,践行枫叶服务标准,构建体系生态系统,实现六五规划目标”为主题的江苏大区筹建委员会第一次工作会议,江苏大区的筹建工作正式启动。

Everything flourished at this time of vibrant summer. Maple Leaf Educational System is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and at the same time the first monthly preparatory committee meeting of Maple Leaf Educational District - Jiangsu themed with “setting up integrated thinking on development to build Maple Leaf ecosystem; practicing service standards and realizing the development goal” was held on May 9 in Yancheng campus. Headmasters, principals and directors from Zhenjiang, Huai’an and Yancheng campuses all gathered in Yancheng for the first time and the preparatory work of Jiangsu District was officially launched.


会议在庄严的校歌声中正式开始,当悠扬的旋律响彻耳旁,作为枫叶人的自豪感和使命感油然而生。

The meeting began with the solemn school song. With the melodious melody going on, the sense of pride and mission of being a maple leafer arose spontaneously.


会议议程的第二项,由镇江枫叶国际学校总校长周保民先生介绍江苏大区招生总方案与实施策略。周校长认为招生工作应该秉承“立足本市,辐射周边,全员参与,大区发展”的指导思想,以“营造招生氛围,夯实教学质量,搭建招生网络,赢得市场口碑”为保障措施,把当地做透,周边做全,充分调动全体员工积极招生,齐心协力,早日完成大区发展任务目标。

On the second item of the meeting agenda, Mr. Zhou baomin, headmaster of Maple Leaf International School - Zhenjiang, introduced the general admission plan and implementation strategy of Jiangsu District. From his opinion, the admission work should be adhering to the guiding ideology of "based on campus-based city, expanding to surrounding cities, fully participation of all staff and taking Jiangsu District development as a whole". He suggested each campus should create a good admission atmosphere, strengthen teaching quality, set up admission network and try its best to win the market reputation. Every campus should do a thorough local research and expand to entire surrounding areas. Let us make concerted effort and realize the development goal in the near future.


会议议程第三项,由淮安恩来枫叶国际学校校长郝红女士介绍江苏大区初小学教育教学管理质量与实施标准。郝校长认为提升学校教育教学管理质量首先要打造一支优秀的教师团队。教师是教育教学最直接的实施者,学校要通过各种途径,例如鼓励教师讲枫叶故事,讲自己的故事,通过典型优秀员工成长案例分享等方式,唤醒教师对教育教学的热爱,唤醒教师的自我成长意识,提升教师的职业自尊心,从而全面提升教师的团队精神。其次,学校要加强文化引领,创设氛围;以优质活动为载体,扩大品牌影响力。最后,学校要提供充足的培训与教研,以研促教,以教促学,提高教育教学质量。郝校长鼓励大家做教育的有心人,做有温度的教育。

The third item on the agenda, Ms. Hao Hong, principal of Maple Leaf Enlai International School-Huai'an, introduced teaching quality criteria and implementation standards for middle and elementary schools of Jiangsu District. Principal Hao believed that there were three steps to improve teaching quality, which were building an excellent team of teachers, strengthening cultural guidance and providing adequate training and teaching researches. Principal Hao encouraged everyone to be a fully-devoted educator and commit to a warm education.


接下来,镇江校区英语中心主任商云菲女士分享了如何提升江苏大区英语教学管理质量的经验和建议。她认为要想达到枫叶教育的目标,即培养具备中西思维的精英人才,英语教学作为大区建设的核心发动力,特色和成绩必须更加突出和出色。商主任根据集团对英语教学的质量要求以及各校区的实际情况,制定了总体目标和阶段性目标,分析了现阶段各校区现实问题的同时,也提出了具体的解决措施和方案。

Next, Ms. Shang Yunfei, ESL director of Zhenjiang campus, shared her experience and suggestions on how to improve the quality of English teaching and management. She believed that in order to achieve the System’s goal, which is to cultivate elites with Chinese and western thinking, English teaching must be more outstanding in its features and achievements. She set up the general goal and phased goals for each campus based on analyzing current situation, and put forward specific solutions and plans.


会议议程的第五项,盐城校区高中中方课程负责人兼领事管理何远建先生对提升大区高中教育教学管理质量和实施策略提出自己的观点。他深入剖析枫叶高中优势和完善措施的同时,提出成立大区名师工作室、大区课程资源库、举办教育管理论坛等方式进一步扩大高中优势,弥补短板,实现培养精英人才的教育目标。

The fifth item on the agenda, Mr. He Yuanjian, director of Chinese program and consular management in Yancheng campus, proposed his own views on improving the teaching quality management and implementing strategies. With thorough analyzing the advantages and improvement measures for high school, he suggested to set up teacher workshops, bulid district curriculum resources, and host educational management forums to further expand the advantages as well as make up for current shortcomings.


镇江校区初小学校长成攀先生就小初高一体化建设,提高体系内升率提出了具体的量化目标和实施策略。

Mr. Cheng Pan, principal of Middle and Elementory schools of Zhenjiang campus, gave his opinion on how to improve system enrollment rate and corresponding implement standards.


盐城校区总务主任夏卫生先生从校园安全、生活服务、教学服务、环境美化、资产管理和团队建设六个方面对大区总务后勤服务提出具体的管理要求和实施措施。

Mr. Xia Weisheng, general affairs director of Yancheng campus, put forward specific management requirements and implementation measures from six apects, which were safety on campus, well being services, teaching services, campus beautification, asset management and team building.


会议议程的第八项,由盐城校区初小学校长李承先生分享了干部做好团队建设工作的经验和建议。李校长将团队建设概况成四个阶段:第一阶段是认清自身角色,根据角色找准工作方式;第二阶段是用核心价值观统一团队思想,从而影响每个人的行为;第三阶段是完善培训体系,建立反馈机制;第四阶段在自愿参与的原则下,打造标杆,促进员工间的引领。李承校长更是形象地将四个阶段形容为“我是谁”、“延安整风运动”、“建立抗日军政大学”和“南泥湾开荒”,由浅入深,娓娓道来,理论与实际案例紧密结合,在座的干部们对团队建设工作有了新的认识和理解。

The eighth item on the agenda, Mr. Li Cheng, Middle and Elementory schools principal of Yancheng campus, shared his experience and suggestions on how leaders to do a good team building. Principal Li summarized team building work into four stages: the first was to identify one’s role in a team so as to apply working meathod accordingly; the second was to unify the team thought with core values and to influence everyone's behavior; the third was to improve the training system and establish a feedback mechanism; last one was to find good examples within the team and encourage them to influnence others. Principal Li compared the four stages to "who am I", "the rectification movement of Yan’an", "the establishment of an anti-Japanese military and political university" and "Nan Niwan exploring movement". With his vivid and deftly description, every one had a new understanding of team building.

最后,江苏枫叶教育大区负责人兼盐城枫叶国际学校总校长熊瀚先生介绍了江苏大区“六五规划”主体工作思路,根据董事长任书良博士提出的“重构定位,优化体系,建设大区,实施标准”十六字方针,大区发展将围绕“推进枫叶世界课程,实施培养目标转型;强化义务教育质量,突出枫叶英语优势;培养三位一体团队,扩大办学成果宣传;切实提高校区三率,建立体系生态结构;加快幼教项目战略,完成大区发展建设”的主体思路开展工作。

Finally, Mr. Xiong Han, principal of Maple Leaf Educational District - Jiangsu and headmaster of Maple Leaf International Schools - Yancheng 

introduced main work plan of Jiangsu District. According to the sixteen-word policy put forward by Dr. Sherman Jen, the founder and chairman of Maple Leaf Educational System, Headmaster Xiong proposed the the main idea on development of Jiansu district.


熊校长从大区发展、教学质量、英语特色建设、团队建设、体系搭建、文化建设、信息管理和安全管理八大方面对江苏大区的建设工作提出具体要求、实施措施并明确责任分工。他表示枫叶的发展来源于创新的品格和高标准的工作质量,我们的工作态度和能力决定着未来枫叶的发展势头。熊校长鼓励大家即使面临外部巨大的竞争和家长对于枫叶高标准的要求,枫叶人也从不会因为困难而退缩;希望大家能在浮躁风行的外部环境中,保持教育初心,远离喧嚣、默默耕耘于枫叶教育的田野,与团队为伍,与专业为伴,与使命为魂,必能风旋而上,终臻胜境。

Headmaster Xiong Han gave guidance and specified requirements on the development of Jiangsu District, appointing group leaders and assigning responsibilities. He pointed out that the fast and sound development of Maple Leaf came from our innovative characters and high standards; it was our work attitude and ability that would determine our future. He  encouraged us that even in the face of great external competition and high demand from our parents, Maple Leafers would never flinch. He expressed his expectation that every one could remain true to the educational mission, staying away from external temptation, being loyal to Maple Leaf and achieving great success in the future.     


此次会议让每个人都更加明确了自己的工作方向和目标。江苏大区在熊瀚校长和各位筹建委员的领导下,全体员工必将同心协力,勇往直前。“潮平两岸阔,风正一帆悬”,让我们高举同一个团队、同一个目标的旗帜,攻坚克难,以创新的思维和扎实有效的行动,为实现“六五规划”总目标而努力奋斗!

The meeting made everyone more clear about their work direction and goals. Under the leadership of Headmaster Xiong Han and members of the preparatory committee, all staff of Jiangsu District will work together and march forward courageously. Let us overcome difficulties together, being creative, professional and excellent. Let us try our utmost to realize the development goal of the Sixth “Five-Year Plan”!
